Circulation
research
In this laboratory we make several research on microcirculation. We asses the blood flow changes by way of Laser-Doppler flowmetry and the microvascular permeability by vascular labelling. In the past 5 years we mostly dealt with the involvement of capsaicin-sensitive primary sensory neurons in the regulation of local blood flow and permeability in the rat nasal mucosa and the guinea pig cochlear circulation. We also investigate the cerebral autoregulation and the reactive hyperaemia in rats.

Pharmacology research
I am an anaesthesiologist, but have been working in a physiological laboratory since 1989. My major interest is experimental anaesthesiology, primarily the action of the alpha2- adrenergic, cardiovascular, mydriatic, micturitic effects of the alpha2-adrenergic agonists in rats, and the interaction with calcium channel agonists/antagonists
